Nestled in the foot of the Magalies Mountains in Krugersdorp, South Africa, Silverstar casino and entertainment features a dazzling casino, live entertainment theatre, outdoor piazza complete with a big screen, cinema complex, ten-pin bowling alley, Laser Tag centre, health spa and games arcade. Open seven days a week, the complex needs continuous energy to ensure smooth operations of its various offerings. New Southern Energy has now completed a grid-tied solar system in three phases. Phase 1 (rooftop): 500,5 kWp, Phase 2 (ground mount): 540,96 kWp, Phase 3 (solar carport): 1064 kWp.
Garden Route:
Situated in Mossel Bay, in South Africa’s Western Cape Province, the Garden Route Casino provides leisure seekers with gaming, entertainment, dining & event experiences. With a fully-fledged casino and hotel, other facilities include a spa and golf course. New Southern Energy initially designed a 219.31 kWp PV Solar system that is synchronized with the property’s 800 kVA diesel generator. The 482 x 455 Wp solar panels are neatly placed on the various sections of the hotel and casino building roofs. A phase 2 installation featured solar models in a solar carport, adding 366.24kWp to the site’s capacity.
